Well the business Gentle Giants : Complete Uniform Solutions is about manufacturing uniforms for schools, sports teams, surf clubs, corporate business clients, government departments etc. We specialise in branding with embroidery and screenprinting on school polos, school dresses, business shirts, blazers and more.
The blog is about how as a small business we have managed to double our growth despite the economic downturn experienced by most of the world recently. The blog is a general discussion of the things we believe have helped us to create and grow new business. We have sourced some great fun information from freeware.com and some great software that has added our growth and kept our costs down. There is some amazing stuff out there, wordpress blogs being among those.
The blog is also apparently a very useful tool to encourage people and customers to your website. I hope so!
About.. what am I about, the writer of this blog? I am about lots of different and diverse things. I want to share my excitement as I discover new technology and software that makes everyday business running easier. I want to share the way I overcome stress, because as every owner manager of a small business knows there is stress to be managed! And I want others to share their experiences with me.
But I am so disappointed in how when people move into a rural area from the city they assume that no one else knows anything and no other business in the area can do anything, so they take the business away from locals and order things from competitors in the city. How dumb are they that they do not see they are stopping the area from getting ahead, that they are taking funds out of the area.
We donated several thousand dollars worth of uniforms to our local Westpac Rescue Helicopter, and we donate to our local high school for prizes for their end of year students. They came to us to select new design for high school students skirts and then some new treasurer on the P&C decided they should order from a competitor.. so now we will not support local. After 20 years of supplying uniforms toA school with no complaints, no returns, no problems, we have been dumped cos of some newbie from the City! What a world! And stuff you all cos now I am not prepared to donate to anything in this local community!
